Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"We had great dining experience at Ristorante Da Raffaele! The highlight was undoubtedly the homemade pasta—fresh, perfectly cooked, and bursting with authentic Italian flavour with artichokes and scampi tails. The setting is equally charming, with tables lining a picturesque canal, creating a romantic and quintessentially Venetian atmosphere. The staff were attentive and welcoming. If you’re in Venice and craving pasta in a beautiful location, this is the place to go!"
"Beautiful evening, delicious food, lovely location with the gondola’s going by, great atmosphere, it was the perfect way to end our last night on holiday here!"
"We came here for lunch on a weekday, choosing this spot because it offers seating along a canal. The staff was helpful and friendly and we got a nice seat right along the canal. Their menu is filled with appealing local eats, many including seafood. They have an interesting carafe menu for their wine, you can get wine by the glass, or in various milliliter amounts up to a liter, so we chose a liter of chardonnay. That wine was amazing, and only 17eu! We started by splitting their salad and that salad was beautiful and tasty! Made with fresh ingredients, it was excellent when dressed with simply EVOO and balsamic! Our entrées were also excellent. I loved their pesto in the Maltagliati Scampi e Pesto! The shrimp in it offered a nice flavor too! The Tagliatelle ai Funghi Porcini was a huge hit as well, especially with is being porcini season! Definitely would recommend stopping in, but make a reservation, they seem to get busy quickly!"
"We had a wonderful time, the service was fairly quick, and the food was delicious. It was rather pricey, you won't find a filling meal under 20€ on the menu. Nevertheless, the ambiance of the area and the taste of the food is definitely worth the cost."
"lunch with a view! :’) saw this restaurant being recommended across social media and decided to stop by. you can see gondolas pass by up close~ which is a cool experience! we ordered lamb chops and bolognese pasta - both were incredible! definitely loved the lamb chops more though . we loved the ambience and the service was attentive and funny!"
"Best view of the canal, countless gondolas passing by all the time. Fabulous food and good service (they do charge 12% service fee, FYI). Reservation highly recommended. Dinner 20250622."
"Highly recommend this restaurant in Venice. We had an amazing lunch there, sitting outside right next to the canal. The service was professional & friendly. We started with a light and delectable spider crab appetizer, then I had the black sauce linguine with cuttlefish and it was amazing. So much flavor and a good amount of fish in the serving as well. Was one of our more expensive meals in Venice, but for the location and excellent food it was worth it."
"Great first night in town. The food was delicious and the staff were fun and professional. Great place to watch boats and people. Delicious. The homemade pasta melted will melt in your mouth."
